Matthew worked as a photographic assistant to Keith Ewart, one of the very great fashion and portrait photographers of the time, in the late '70's before moving to television where he worked on many pop videos from David Bowie to Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush to Judy Tzuke. He then studied for a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering before becoming a recording engineer. He then moved to management roles working for Capital Group Studios, BBC, Teddington Studios, Pinewood etc.

A few years ago he moved back to his first love of photography and works across many areas as can be seen from some of the samples of his work here.
